The Last Alliance Campaign Rules

Introduction

The Last Alliance campaign is a massive map based game with different alliances waging war for supremacy of the land.
Each alliance starts with a number of regions, once their regions have been captured by other alliances they are out of the campaign.
To capture an enemy region you book a game against your opponent in the area for that region, play a battle game with your opponent as normal and enter the results on the site.
The system will then update the map automatically as needed.

The Alliances

The Alliances currently taking part in the campaign are: You can only change your alliance on the 1st of the Month, if your alliance is currently set to unaligned, or if your alliance has just been knocked out of the campaign.
Each alliance is represented by its colour on the campaign map.

Regions

The campaign map is divided up in to various regions. Mountains and rivers form a barrier that effectivly seperate two neighbouring regions. Some rivers will have crossing points that join those regions together as neighbours. There are also ports, shown on the campaign map by Port with dotted lines showing which regions can be "sailed" to, making these regions neighbours.
Each alliance has a number of regions under their control and will be the colour of that alliance, the rest are all unoccupied.
An alliance may only attack a region that is next to one they currently occupy (unless the regions are seperated by a mountain border, or a fordless river). They may only attack regions that are occupied by an enemy or that are unoccupied.
If you attack a region that is currently occupied by an enemy, one of your opponents must be of the occupied alliance or you may not attack that region.
If you attack an unoccupied region your opponent can be of any alliance that is not of the same side as yours. The winner of the battle gets to claim that region as their own.
Some regions have fortifications in them, shown on the campaign map as Port, which the defending player may choose to play a siege game instead of a normal battle.

Approval

To take part in the campaign you will need to get approval.
You can do so by visiting the "Manage your account" page and apply for approval there.
We will then approve (or not - but hopefully that will not happen) you to take part.
Both you and your opponent will need to get approved.
If your alliance is set to 'unaligned' you will not be approved until you have chosen an alliance.
If you break any minor rules your approvel may be suspended for a short time, and if you are caught majorilly cheating you will be permaband, but lets hope this does not happen to anyone!

Booking Games

Look at the campaign map and find a region that your alliance currently occupies. Look at the neighbouring regions, there will need to be either one occupied by your opponents alliance or an unoccupied region.
If there is a battle already booked there you will not be allowed to battle in that region.
Once you have found an available region, click on it and you will be taken to the Battle Booking page. Here you will need to fill in your opponents user name exactly as it appears.
An e-mail will then be sent to you containing your battle code. Keep this code sacret, keep it safe. If you do not get your e-mail you can find out your code by visiting the map page.
You now have 7 days to play out your battle with your opponent in person. Once you have completed your game both you and your opponent need to visit the Battle Completion page and enter your battle code and the game result.
If both results match the system works out who now owns the region and automatically updates the campaign map. Please give this process a bit of time to complete.
If you do not both enter your results in the 7 days your game is voided and the region stays as it is.
You can only have one game booked to play, either as the attacker or defender at a time!

Army Lists

Visit the Campaign Army List page and look up your alliance. Here you will see a list of the armies you can use for your alliance, as well as any house rules for that army.
The armies are those appropriate for the campaign and can be found in the SBG army books.

Playing the Game

You play the game as normal with your oppoent following the rules in the Matched Play book.
